About us

Susan van Engelenhoven

I’ve always been a creator. It gives me such joy to create, whether it’s jewellery or objects ‘d art doesn’t matter, the fun is in the making.

I enjoy meeting new people, listening to their stories and then producing a unique piece for them.

Born in South Africa, I studied jewellery manufacturing after completing high school. Worked as a goldsmith and ended up teaching jewellery manufacturing for 6 years before relocating to the Netherlands.

Having found the perfect space for our atelier has simply been a dream come true.

Now, together with my husband, we can live out our creative dream.

Evert van Engelenhoven

A designer, that’s what I am.

Growing up I had a book about Leonardo Da Vinci and I wanted to be just like him. In a way that has not changed.

I studied to be a goldsmith, then an industrial designer. I am still learning, almost every day.

What do I like to do in my work? Finding solutions within a set of constraints to meet as many requirements as possible. Combining my technical and artistic abilities to create something with aesthetic appeal.

My work is really diverse, this way it stays interesting. The one day it is wedding rings for a young couple, the next might be a design that is mass produced by a big factory. I’ve designed the neckpiece that Terry Pheto wore on the red carpet at the Oscars and made a walking stick for the late Nelson Mandela. Every project is different and brings its own challenges.

I consider myself very fortunate to be able to work with my lovely wife and enjoy what we do.
